Dr. Charles Skoglund – Owner, President and Dentist:
Dr. Charles Skoglund, D.D.S. is a life-long native of Norfolk, NE. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a D.D.S. Degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in 1981. He has served on many committees of the Nebraska Dental Association including two terms as a Trustee. He has completed the requirements for becoming a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Family First Dental Associates continues to grow based on Dr. Skoglund’s desire to provide support and exchange of ideas among the doctors.
Lisa Timmerman – Chief Executive Officer:
Lisa grew up in Osmond, Nebraska and currently resides in Johnston, Iowa. She graduated from Wayne State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Business Administration. She has extensive background in the banking industry and in the financial planning field as a certified financial paraplanner. She has managed the billing department of a group physicians practice.
Lisa began her career in dentistry in 1994 managing Dr. Skoglund’s private group practice in Norfolk, Nebraska. She began with Family 1st Dental in 1999 where she served as Chief Financial and Operating Officer until January 2011 when she accepted the position of CEO.
Stacy Aldmeyer – Chief Operating Officer:
Stacy grew up in Carter Lake Iowa and still resides there. She has been in the dental field for over 34 years, starting out as a chair side expanded function assistant and working the front desk. She also went to hygiene school but soon discovered her passion for the business of dentistry. With extensive education and experience Stacy started a practice management consulting company DDSPROS for the past 18 years, where she worked with many private practices on practice growth and development. In addition she was a certified Eaglesoft, clinical and digital x-ray instructor for many practices and Dental Schools around the country including Creighton University and University of Nebraska College of Dentistry. She consulted with a large dental group with over 100 offices in Florida in 2002 and then accepted the position of Director of Operations and Regional Vice President with them.
After returning to her hometown in 2007 she continued her consulting and then joined Family 1st Dental in 2009 as Director of Operation until January 2011 when she accepted the position of COO.
James Doyle, DDS – Senior Associate and Recruiting and dentist at Family 1st Dental of Norfolk 13th:
Jim grew up in Commerce City, Colorado and joined the Coast Guard for four years. He attended the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry . After dental school he opened a solo clinic in Norfolk, Nebraska. Jim joined Dr. Skoglund and Family 1st Dental in 2005. Jim attends the School’s Student Recruiting Fairs and events promoting Family 1st Dental and explaining the associate experience to prospective recruits. He is also the key contact for recruiting prospective candidates for the Family 1st organization.
Regional Coordinators
Maria Hewitt – Clinical Supplies Manager and Regional Coordinator Central Iowa Region:
Responsibilities: Developing relationships with dental supply vendors, knowledge of all vendor programs, helping with inventory management for all clinics and practice growth and development. Overseeing personnel management and employee reviews for her region. Maria has 17 years experience as a Dental Assistant.
Teresa Johnson – Regional Coordinator Northwest Iowa Region:
Responsibilities: Observations of offices, collections, techniques, phone etiquette, scheduling, accounts receivable management, recall systems, patient communications and protocols, practice growth and development. Overseeing personnel management and employee reviews for her region. Teresa has 20 years of experience in the dental field as a Chair side Dental Assistant and at the front desk. She has been working in the South Sioux City office as front desk coordinator until she accepted the position as Regional Coordinator.
Lori Hoff – Regional Coordinator Northeast Nebraska Region:
Responsibilities: Observations of offices, collections, techniques, phone etiquette, scheduling, accounts receivable management, recall systems, patient communications and protocols, practice growth and development. Overseeing personnel management and employee reviews for her region. Lori has 28 years experience in the dental field in both assisting and at the Front Desk. She has been working in the Norfolk office as front desk coordinator until she accepted the position as Regional Coordinator.
Nadine Prososki – Regional Coordinator Central Nebraska Region:
Responsibilities: Observations of offices, collections, techniques, phone etiquette, scheduling, accounts receivable management, recall systems, patient communications and protocols, practice growth and development. Overseeing personnel management and employee reviews for her region. She has been working in the Columbus office as front desk coordinator until she accepted the position as Regional Coordinator.
Support Center Team
Gary Weich – IT & Equipment Manager:
Responsibilities: Planning/installation of all computer systems, office networks, support of all IT projects, oversees the repair of all dental equipment and installs all new equipment. Gary came to Family 1st after 32 years of working for a medical manufactures company as a technical service manager. He has an associate’s degree in electronics and is a licensed electrician. He has abundant experience in electronic equipment, computer controls, computer software and hardware. He is responsible for troubleshooting and the repair of all dental equipment hand pieces, computer hardware and software.
Rhonda Wrenholt – Accounts Payable Specialist:
Responsibilities: Inputting all accounts payable and vendor communications, administrative support for management team and general reception duties at corporate office. Before coming to Family 1st Rhonda had worked for several years as a Front Desk Coordinator in a large dental office and owned a family company.
Kaila Newman – Payroll and Support Center Manager:
Responsibilities: Overseeing day to day deposits from clinics, overseeing payroll, payroll taxes and all reporting. Kaila attended Wayne State College and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting and has previous accounting experience.
Emily Rutledge- Marketing & Advertising Specialist/Event Planning/Recruiting:
Responsibilities: Promoting Family 1st through all forms of media by marketing, advertising, communications, website development, promotional projects, brochures, signage. She oversees meetings-event planning and is involved with recruiting. Emily attended Wayne State College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Administration. Before coming to Family 1st she worked with her family business and a local nonprofit organization.
Keith Fagan – Facilities Specialist:
Responsibilities: Maintenance needs of buildings, grounds management, light construction, painting and updating of offices, works in conjunction with Gary on equipment upgrades, oversees janitorial, snow removal and lawn mowing contracts. Keith was with the Coca Cola Company for nearly 20 years and was last their branch manager in Norfolk.
Ashly Wiese – Accounting Support Specialist:

Responsibilities: Assists with day to day deposits from clinics, assists with payroll, payroll taxes and internal and financial reporting. Ashly attended Wayne State College and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting. She has previous accounting experience from working as a bank teller.
